Dear readers I am at a complete loss. I love wearing soft and silky pajamas to bed. They feel nice on my skin, and my favorite go to brand is Victoria’s Secret. I am not sure if I am just getting older, or if I just never noticed, but who the heck does Victoria’s Secret design their nightwear for? My only conclusion is that it is only meant for a size 0 little girl. I mean really…I am not a large girl. I wouldn’t call myself skinny, but I would say I am average. Bluntly, I think I should still be able to rock silky lingerie night gowns. But, this last time I went to buy something I had to buy a LARGE!!! No disrespect to those buying larges…none whatsoever, but I have to ask myself…if I am wearing the large….where does that leave others?
My belief is that the company is making a statement of who should and should not be wearing lingerie. I mean what else could it be? Say I am a size 4 or 6 dress size…what about those wearing a size 8? An average size without a doubt…are they extra large? Is there even extra large? Everyone should get to wear sexy and soft things sometimes.
What do you think? Do you think I am overreacting?
I hate vanity sizing. It’s awful.
I was having a simliar thought yesterday about their underwear. They changed their underwear a few years ago and I can NOT wear them anymore. They must be made for women with no “rear” – they’re always too big in the hips but they don’t cover anything. Eventually my old ones will wear out and I’ll have to find a new source! LOL
