Sorry this post is a little late!
Dear Christian,
Happy 3 months little one! What a big boy you are becoming! I am enjoying you so much, and I love spending every single day with you. It is amazing to see your little personality come out, and I take so much enjoyment in watching you experience all the new things in the world around you. To get to see things through your eyes is a true blessing.
I always knew I wanted to be a mom, but I couldn’t have ever imagined how truly wonderful it really is. Every day I wake up, and no matter how tired I am, I get to go to your crib and see your smiling face. It is the perfect way to start the day.
So much has happened since I wrote your last letter. You have grown so much! One major event is that you no longer sleep with your mommy and daddy in our room. It’s not that we don’t like to have you close by, but it was just time for you to go to your crib. You took to it like a champ! I continue to knock on wood, but I will admit that you are a good sleeper. Not only do you sleep in your crib, but you do actually SLEEP in your crib! As a matter of fact, you now “sleep through the night”, which means you sleep over 6 hours a night. Your current bedtime is around 8:00 and you sleep anywhere from 3:30-7:00 am. Yay for you!
You are a smiley little boy, and when you smile you do so with your whole face. My favorite part is that you smile with your eyes, which makes it all seem so genuine. You are a great conversationalist, and we talk alot during the day. Each of us are probably holding our own conversations, but at least we try.
One of your newest tricks is that you are now able to roll from your belly to your back! You have never liked “tummy time”, and now that you can roll I think the time on your belly will be even less. You are also finding some toys! Not only do you like to hold them, you also like to put them in your mouth. I have a feeling you will soon be putting everything in your reach in your mouth. This is something new for your mommy and daddy because we are going to have to be very careful what we put on the floor!
I am told that the 3 month mark is a turning point, and that you will begin to grow and do things even faster. Each day I look forward to seeing what new thing you find yourself doing, and it can happen as fast as that. Each day is a new adventure, and I am lucky to be along for the ride.
Love, Mommy
