It’s that time of the week again! Things I love Thursday Over at The Diaper Diaries!
I used to be a shampoo snob…well at least for the past few years. I went to the salon and my stylist told me that I really needed this certain shampoo because my hair was very dry. SOLD! (it’s very sad how easily I can be sold on products). Since then I have been using the same shampoo and conditioner, paying a pretty penny but was happy with how my hair turned out. So I kept it up. Every once in a while I would try to buy a store brand shampoo and it just left my hair knotty and gross, and for me it just wasn’t worth the savings. So, recently I was almost out of my fancy shampoo and decided I should try yet another store brand…so I went with a favorite of mine from when I was a little girl. The Aussie Shampoo and Conditioners which I love to call Kangaroo Shampoo (get it? because of the Kangaroo on it?)
I went with the moisture formulabecause I felt that it was the closest to what I was using. And VOILA! It worked like a charm. The Aussie shampoo and conditioner smelled AMAZING and made my hair was soft and easy to comb through. But they have many other formulas to fit anyone’s “hair needs”
- Volume
- Catch the wave
- Cleanse and mend
- Hair Insurance
- Instant Freeze
- Mega
- Opposites Attract
- Sprunch
- Sun touched shine
- Sydney Smooth
Not all of those are shampoo’s, but products such as hairsprays and gels. But you get the idea. I also bought the Mousse with leave in conditioner. I use leave in conditioner when I get out of the pool or ocean and I figure with the mousse my hair can air dry nicely!
So there you have it…the reformed Shampoo snob has found a new Shampoo! No more high priced shampoo and conditioners for me!
It is supposed to be good to switch up the shampoo and conditioners you use seasonally. Like summer to winter and so forth because your hair has different needs depending on the climate.
I have very few brands I’ve found that I like. Unfortunately most of not store brands. Nexxus, Rusk and so forth. I do use Infusium. I will have to check out the Aussie products.
we love this in our house
I was once neglecting about shampoo loyalty thing. I never knew till I grow up that those shampoos are messing with my hair. Now I am conscious on what type of shampoo I love. I am now quite contented with the one I am using. It has an aloe vera extract that helps my hair get boosted in terms of protection and growth and strength.
