Have you seen the show Sharktank? Well I have. I watch it all the time, and I have many opinions about the products on the show, and even more so when it comes to children’s products. When SwimZip reached out and offered to send me some of their swimsuits for review I jumped at the chance. First off, being on Long Island, my kids are in swim suits pretty much daily in the summer. Second, putting them in a bathing suit that protects their skin takes a little of the pressure off me to make sure I lather and reapply their sunscreen!

SwimZip offers UPF 50+ sun protective clothing for toddlers, kids, men and women. One thing that sets this product apart from others is the zipper front that makes it easy to take the rash guard on and off your child. When I got the opportunity to choose swimsuits for both me and my kids I had to think about what they would be most comfortable in. For my daughter I chose the Sweet Pineapple one piece with rash guard ($29.99). This was a little different than the other swim zip items but I liked that it had the regular bathing suit, but also the rash guard cover up that I could put on when I needed it. For my son I went with the Dino-Mite swim set ($29.99), because I LOVED the color combo, and I knew he would get use out of both pieces. I LOVED how easily the shirt zipped on and off. It stopped the struggle of getting a rash guard on that fit snuggly.

For me I went with “The Stunner” ($75) Which is a SwimZip swim dress . I have to tell you I loved it. We were going to the beach after I picked my son up off the bus so I wore it to the bus stops. I got compliments there, and when I got to the beach. It was comfortable, I felt covered up and it was flattering. The only downside was that there are no bottoms to go with it, so I didn’t feel like it could stand alone. It’s called a swim dress, but I felt it was more of a “cover up”. Either way it was fantastic!

There is no need to take chances when it comes to your kids and sun protection. I am not always the best at covering up my kids, but I loved that these suits gave me an easy option to protect their little bodies. Not to mention the style and make of each of these bathing suits were spot on. It’s always great when  company thinks outside of the box, and I love that SwimZip offers you and “easy on” option when it comes to children’s bathing suits. What a great idea!

I was given Swim Zip Bathing suits for the purposes of this review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
