I love being able to see my children when they sleep. I admit that I still have a monitor in my 5 year old sons room, but in my defense I use it only if he keeps getting out of bed. I like it there. I take comfort in it. The one in my daughters room is used all the time. I know what I like about monitors, and when the people at Levana gave the me the opportunity to review their Ovia (pronounced O-Via) monitor I was excited to give it a try.
The Ovia PTZ Video Baby Monitor ($169.99) is a high-tech, parent-friendly camera monitor with the latest control and features in mind. It has intuitive touch panel controls and silent pan/tilt/zoom camera mean that a full view of every nook and cranny of your baby’s nursery is just a touch away. One fun feature that is different with this monitor is the included micro SD card. You can save photos and video and upload them to your computer or view them directly on the Ovia’s large 4.3 LCD screen. How fun is that? You can commemorate moments and keep them to embarrass your child in the future! With talk to baby two-way communication, 8-hour battery life and invisible night vision LED’s, both you and baby will find a lot to love while getting more done.
I found this monitor easy to use, and I think the photo/video and saving/sharing option is fun. I find myself regularly trying to snap a picture of my monitor screen. I even remember taking video of my son throwing a fit, or calling mommy through the monitor. All fun memories! All worth saving! I also found the price to be affordable. Monitors can be pricey!
So two thumbs up for this baby monitor! A great idea when you are registering, or looking to buy something for a new mommy to be!
I was provided with the Ovia PTZ video baby monitor for the purposes of this review. As always all thoughts and opinions are my own.
