Are we really at 4 months?? Could it be? FINALLY a month that went by semi quickly. It is so refreshing! The weather is kind of starting to turn to spring (kind of), and the upcoming weeks are bringing us a lot of fun things going on so I am sure time will move even quicker from here on out. This is around the time where I should start to feel you move inside my belly. I just can’t wait. It is such an amazing and special time to know that you are moving in there. It’s a bond that a mother gets with her child that no one else gets, and I can’t wait to begin experiencing it with you.
I’m not complaining, but I’m kind of requesting that you give your mom a break on the indigestion. Is that possible? I am finally able to eat some food, but almost immediately I regret it because I get indigestion or reflux from whatever I eat. Even more rough is that I am wanting things like Mexican food, more specifically chicken floutas, and that is a prime culprit of my reflux. So if I can put in that request that would be great.
I still don’t have a feeling if you are a boy or a girl. No dreams…nothing! People ask me all the time and are disappointed when I tell them that I have no “feeling” but it’s true. This time around I am very prepared either way. At least I think so… that is what I am telling myself. At this point most people are saying you are a girl. I think it’s because they wish it for me. Some say my face has changed, some say based on this different pregnancy…but it’s all a guess. We will know in less than a month! Can you send me a sign?
Hop Hop: 16 Weeks
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he’s about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren’t recognizable yet. He’s even started growing toenails. And there’s a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.
