In my opinion a ton of recalls are made due to the fact that there are some pretty dumb people out there and do not use common sense when using baby products, or any other product for that matter. But when it comes to car seats I feel like I have to share because when you are driving a car you can’t always see what your child is doing in the back. So when it came to my attention that Britax was recalling some of their car seats I felt like I needed to share the info with my readers. I know all of you aren’t idiot parents right?
So here’s the deal
Britax Car seat Recall
Britax, said it is recalling certain convertible child restraints with the Boulevard 70 G3, Advocate 70 G3 and Pavilion 70 G3 model names.
The company said the seats, which were made from June through August of this year, have chest pads (called HUGS pads) that are made of a soft material that could come apart if the child bites or chews it. If that happens the pieces could become choking hazards.
Under the recall, Britax will provide replacement pads made of a firmer material, with instructions on how to install them. The company said owners may remove the current pads and continue using the seat until the replacements arrive. Owners may also contact Britax at 888-427-4829 with questions or to request replacement pads in the event their restraint is not already registered with Britax. The affected seats have the following model numbers: E9LJ91A, E9LJ91M, E9LJ91S, E9LJ92E, E9LJ93P, E9LJ93S, E9LK91A, E9LK31A, E9LK31Q, E9LK32D, E9LK32Z, E9LK33Q, E9LL11A, E9LL11Q, E9LL12D, E9LL12Z, E9LG81A, E9LG83N, E9LG83P, E9LG83X, E9LG83Y, E9LL21A, E9LL23P and E9LL23Y.
If you have any of these models then I recommend getting the pads replaced. Like I said, you don’t always know what your child is doing in their seat. So better be safe than sorry right?
