I’m a taker! That sounds great. I feel exactly the same as you. I have tried to be the best host in the neightbourhood. Round my house I’ve tried a comedy night, and a murder mystery night, I even tried to hire a band! but something always goes wrong! I’m so bad at being the host at a party, maybe I should hire a speaker to do the work for me! Next time I am going to just book a show for everyone and get them out the house! Lol. Sometimes it feels like im constantly organising parties! I tell you at the end of the day its worth it, if there was an awards ceremony for hosts, then i would win “host who tries the most!”.

Pam, I hosted a murder mystery party once and I htink it would be great at “you know who’s house!” its fun cause we all got characters we had to play and stuff…it would be a perfect addition to the dinner party. we’ll just have to work on this!

I am totally in for a “formal” dinner party. i think between Jeff and Evan’s work friends and our individual circles of friends that we could pull it off. If we stage your house the right way we could have one at your house. Eventually the perfect place for a great dinner party would be the Boss’ house…:0) I don’t think the guys would be so against it. i think secretly they all want to look nice and sharp. Maybe having a theme would help too like “The Great Gatspy” or “Black and white movies” Not sure but it would be fun!

That would be so much fun to have a REAL dinner party, where every one dressed up. I’m sure the gals would totally love it but you would have to sucker the guys into doing it.

I think it may be the circle of friends that you have. They figure “Hey its dinner at Jen and Evan’s” and so they can be less formal, more casual. I was raised that if you went to someone’s house even just for ‘dinner’ you wore close to Sunday’s Best. I’ve been to a few dinner parties where the hostess let us know ahead of time what to expect in terms of dress. You could give it a try. It is nice to dress up and enjoy one another’s company.
