image After the Alter is a blog about my "life after the alter" meaning after being married, and the changes that go with it. I love being married, and here I share stories of my life as I learn how to be the best wife I can be and all my crazy thoughts along the way.

We've All Got A Story To Tell

Blogaversary week is over, and I wanted to thank everyone who stopped by with good wishes! I truly do appreciate it! Now its time for new beginnings…. it’s time that I hear from you! Captain Awesome had a great idea. He said that I should reach out to you, my readers to ask that you share some of your stories with me! I thought about it, and I think it’s a wonderful idea. I mean don’t we all have a story to tell?!

As I have mentioned in the past, I really want to make After The Alter a place where people can come together and talk about marriage. I get to share about my relationships, but I don’t get to hear about yours? Yes, it is my blog so that makes sense, but I think it would be fun to have you guys share every once in a while! I want to hear about your tips, your great traditions, the ways you make up after a fight, and great dinner party ideas! Men and women’s stories are both welcome. You don’t have to be a current blogger, but if you are I will totally link back to your blog! I mean even if you are a mommy blogger, or a Preggers blogger, I am sure your husband leaves his socks stuffed into the couch and it drives you nuts…and you just want to share! Oh wait…the black sock problem is with my husband! Anywho…I digress.

Guest Posting Guidelines

I sometimes ramble ALOT, but I like to keep my posts between 400-500 words. If you could do the same that would be great. If it takes more words to make your story great then so be it! I don’t have an amount of posts in mind, and right now I don’t have a set time frame of when I will post these. I have no idea what type of response I am going to get, so I don’t want to make promises I can’t keep. I can’t post everything that comes into my inbox, so please don’t be offended if I don’t post what you wrote. If I am posting what you sent, then I promise to give you the heads up before the day it goes up! Feel free to share anything marriage related! You can send the posts in a word document attached to Jen@afterthealter.com

I really hope you consider participating in this! Maybe it could some day be “Share a Story Saturday!” (ok I can work on the title) For now we’ll say…I’ll post em as I like em! Start sharing your stories! I can’t wait to start reading them!
