I am always saying this, too. It’s just “the same as any other season. Just hotter.” We still have to do all the same stuff, while sweating. I don’t really look forward to it anymore.

Some employers close early on Friday, or close completely during the summer. Maybe you should put it in the suggestion box.

Or, move to Greece. It’s beautiful there anyway, right?

Thanks for making me even more jealous Tracy! lol j/k Those are definitely HUGE bonuses of being a teacher. Each year is something new and a new experience with a new class…maybe I should just pretend I am back to school shopping??

yeah, teaching is awesome for many reasons, this is one of the biggies. i will forever have summer vacation. and i will forever look forward to going back in september–to see my friends and start a new year. oh–and don’t forget back to school shopping. i can forever justify early september shopping sprees! since i’m on a teacher’s salary i have to charge everything, but it is totally worth it!

I totally agree that we need adult summer vacation. The French take off the entire month of August and just enjoy themselves! We should definitely take after them…
