I love silky robes! I have a few of them and they feel so nice! I guess you are right. As long as there is a robe I’m sure mom’s can still wear pretty things like that at night:)

I still wear slips. Can’t seem to get out of the ‘proper’ ways my mother demanded her girls dress. They are difficult to find in stores. I tend to pick them out of catalogs or online.

You are right though, it is a lost art of sorts.

On the nightgowns and kids thing, my mother always wore nightgowns. She had the prettiest silk robes to wear over them. They weren’t indiscreet at all. They weren’t the ones she wore during her newlywed years but there was still feminine and pretty.
