It's pretty pricey down here too -- $8.50 for regular admission and $6.50 for a matinee. So we're looking at $17 to get in the door and another $6 for popcorn, bringing the total for $23. Luckily our theater sold reusable cups a while back that could be brought in anytime for a free refill, so we always take that cup with us when we go to the theater. Even still, we rarely go to the movies -- 3 or 4 times per year tops. We saw Half-Blood Prince and I can't remember the last movie we saw in theaters before that. Unless I pick up the kid boxes they have for kids which includes a small popcorn, small drink & candy for about 5-6 bucks. Perfectly suitable for Leah. Matt can fend for himself. lol.
