Glad everything worked out well with your dealings with the companies. If all companies treated their customers as well as others, they would have customers for life.

I will say I am an iPhone guy and a Apple geek... and there is a reason. Service! I will tell you that I have purchased a iPhone for myself and my wife for work and fun and I will pay a little more each month to have the quality and service I demand and expect.

Recently I broke the glass on the iPhone and when I went to AT&T, they wanted $499 to replace the phone... I went to the local Apple store... and they replaced my phone with a brand new phone at NO COST all within ten minutes. I love the service of Apple.

Just my thoughts... you might pay a little more a month, but service is the key. It's the same in any business... "you get what you pay for!"

Stewart, Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting! I normally believe you get what you pay for, but normally...not always...when it comes to cell phones I have always been happy with the minium...I know if I got the i phone I would never do all that it can do..lol...kind of like the microwave that has a lot of settings and all i use it for is to heat up leftovers...but I would like the CHOICE of when/if I want to make changes to my plan and I hate being locked in. I have heard that Apple does offer great customer service though. other than my ipod I've never really owned another apple product....

I knew I was in a 2 year contract but when I was with T Mobile I was eligible for the phone upgrades every year. So I figured that the same would apply here...but alas it did not:(

Another fight with a cell phone company!!

The bad thing is that companies as big as that don't care about their customers because they don't have to! Like you said, you are only spiting yourself so why would they go out of their way for you? It stinks but it is the truth.

PS- how did you not know you were in a 2 year contract???
