I am a huge fan of Meryl Streep. I think that she can play almost any character, in pretty much any genre and make a fabulous movie. If you add a bit of Alec Baldwin, and a touch of Steve Martin into the mix you have an AMAZINGLY funny cast, and the movie It’s Complicated which comes to theaters on December 25th! Christmas Day!!
The movie is about Jane (Streep) is the mother of three grown kids, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant and has-after a decade of divorce-an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake (Baldwin). Jane and Jake both find themselves out of town for their son’s college graduation, and thenn things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns in to the inimaginable- an affair. With Jake remarried to the much younger Agness(Lake Bell), Jane is now, of all things, the other woman. Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam (Martin), an
architect hired to remodel Jane’s kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam, starts to fall for Jane, but soon realizes he’s become part of a love triangle.

Meryl Streep is the primary reason this movie is worth seeing! But on top of that, how refreshing to NOT have a movie that’s made with men in mind! It’s a woman’s film, woman’s themes and stories! Excited for it! Also, the baked goods…..

You want me to lie? It is a horrible movie. Long, the timeline doesnt make sense. The boy graduates in June and in September, it is pouring in Santa Barbara? Alec Baldwin is younger than Meryl Streep, there is no way they are married. Movie is so boring I ended up focusing on product placement, like the Toyota Prius and Highlander and the Arrowhead water bottle. No one is making chocolate croissants in a bakery during the night and how many times do we have to run the fertility clinic gag. It is so difficult to believe that The Holiday’s Nancy Meyers is responsible for this garbage.

Meryl is Amazing and with two men like Alec and Steve this is going to be FUNNY! Meryl proved she can be funny, between all her interviews and comedy movies such as postcards from the edge This will no doubt be my favorite movie! As for Alec and steve they are hilarious!! But I really think Meryl will make this movie!! another nod? I think so!

i think that this movie is going to be amazing be ofcouurse, MERYL STREEP is in it!!! and with the “Genius”, Nancy Meyers, this is a Romantic COMEDY. No drama at all! and Alec Baldwin & Steve Martin are two GREEAT actors aside from Meryl Streep. This movie will be GREAT, NO DOUBT ABOUT IT. i believe that it’ll also be a box office HITT.
